Department Overview The Assistant Professor is a faculty member credentialed and privileged as an MD, with completion of an Ob/Gyn residency, and may have independent surgical experience necessary to provide a full-scope practice. As a member of the OHSU Professional Staff, the Assistant Professor practices in accordance with the relevant bylaws. The Assistant Professor is responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient clinical services as assigned by the supervisor, in support of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, OHSU policies, and professional standards is required. Function/Duties of Position: Clinical: The Generalist division provides both inpatient and outpatient care to high-risk patients at OHSU and relatively low-risk, community practice patients at Hillsboro Medical Center, an affiliated facility located 30 minutes west of OHSU, ensuring an ideal patient mix.
