POSITION SUMMARY: - The Machine Operator is responsible to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs typical machine shop and press operations. - Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. - Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. - Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.
