Lead Engineer (AWS-Cloud Adoption)

Job description

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Cloud Engineer to help design, build, and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform as the primary infrastructure-as-code tool. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments, enjoys working with existing systems, and brings a methodical approach to codifying and managing real-world infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in translating existing AWS environments into clean, maintainable Terraform, and supporting the evolution of scalable cloud foundations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, write, and maintain modular, reusable Terraform code for AWS infrastructure - Import and manage existing AWS resources into Terraform state safely and accurately - Work with established Terraform workflows (plan/apply cycles, state management, environment separation) - Implement and maintain remote state management (e.g. S3 + DynamoDB locking) - Contribute to and operate CI/CD pipelines for Terraform (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Atlantis) - Analyse existing AWS environments and codify infrastructure with precision - Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to align on standards and delivery - Produce clear documentation...
