Job description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer , you will be responsible for the mechanical design of high-end scientific instruments and complex equipment on a project level. You will guide product development from initial concept through to production, creating accurate models and documentation that align with rigorous engineering standards. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will translate complex requirements into innovative, manufacturable solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design & Development: Create detailed 3D models, complex assemblies, and 2D technical drawings using CAD software. - Analysis & Validation: Support your designs with functional, structural, and thermal analyses. Lead prototype builds and validation activities to ensure performance. - Documentation: Produce and manage comprehensive engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and revision updates. - Collaboration: Work closely with specialists, project managers, and manufacturing teams to identify potential production or assembly issues early in the design phase (DFM). - Testing: Create and document test procedures, analyze numerical and graphical data, and provide rec...
