Overview The Seaport Hotel is seeking a skilled and service‑focused Engineering Mechanic to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will help ensure the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our guests and team members by responding to maintenance needs, performing preventative and corrective repairs, and supporting the overall operation of the property. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Guest Rooms & Public Areas: - Perform maintenance tasks including plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing hardware, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC equipment, lamps, outlets, cosmetic items, and assisting with TV programming and high‑speed internet issues. - Conduct routine and preventative room maintenance for all hotel buildings and equipment. Fire/Life Safety: - Monitor and understand the hotel’s fire alarm and life safety systems. - Respond to emergencies and maintain working knowledge of fire sprinklers and emergency power systems. Tools & Equipment: - Maintain, clean, and secure all tools and equipment. - Ensure assigned tools are accounted for and kept in proper condition.
