Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Data Scientist Intern to join our SiC Data Systems team for Summer 2026. The intern will gain hands-on experience in Machine-Learning and Artificial Intelligence applications in manufacturing, work alongside software / data professionals, and meaningfully contribute to projects that support large-scale manufacturing of the next-generation semiconductor SiC materials. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Projects will be in LLM implementation (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or machine-learning-based defect classification. - Guided ownership of entire project pipeline: problem identification, process discovery, solution design, and implementation. - Key skills involved include dataset construction, model training & validation, semantic layer engineering. - Close collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders. - By the end of the internship, a prototype of the selected project is expected. Education & Experience: - Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date. - Education Level Required: pending bachelor’s degree (rising senior) at minimum.
