Job Details Per Diem position for day shifts (7am-3:30pm) during weekdays and weekends as needed. The Environmental Services (EVS) Associate aides in maintaining a high quality standard of housekeeping. This includes performing cleaning functions in assigned areas while following assigned schedules and specific methods to provide patients, visitors, and staff with a sanitary, orderly, and safe patient care environment. EVS Associates aid in prevention of cross contamination, controlling bacteria, odor, and sustaining acceptable aseptic conditions. They may assist with moves, recycling, delivery of supplies, and the removal of trash and biohazard waste. Education: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in housekeeping or cleaning in a healthcare environment preferred but not required. - Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. - Establishes and maintains clean, sanitary, and safe environment in assigned work areas by following departmental policies and procedures (20%) - Proper disposal of biohazards according to EPA and OSHA codes and regulations.
