Job Description Main challenge: Bringing a cozy life-sim fantasy to life through content, by tightly integrating narrative, systems, and world-building - moving beyond scripted quests into emergent, player-driven experiences. What it means on a daily basis - Bring together art, design, narrative and sound to reinforce the main themes of the game - Work with game designers and narrative designers to implement story content directly in the game (quests, environments, interactions) - Work with artists to shape and give life to characters - Use gameplay and systems to convey story - not just dialogue and text - Design and iterate on a more systemic quest approach, tied to gameplay systems rather than linear scripting - Write and implement dialogue and in-game text where needed What success will look like: Who you would be working with - Players stop relying on quests as instructions and start forming their own goals - Narrative is felt through gameplay and the world, not just delivered through dialogue - Content does not break when systems evolve - it scales with them - World, companions and NPCs feel part of the same system, not separate layers - We reduce dependency on “go there, do...
