HVAC Mechanic C (Mechanical Trades)

Job description

Assist in the maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of building HVAC and refrigeration systems, hot water (gas, electric, and oil fired) systems and components at the Babson College; work with the HVAC technicians to adjust those systems as necessary for optimal performance to maintain compliance with state/local building and heating/cooling codes and regulations by performing the following essential duties. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm The hourly rate is $39.72. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Assist in the operation of all buildings HVAC and refrigeration systems and auxiliary equipment and components to detect hazards, malfunctions and the need for adjustment and/or replacement to such items as controls, thermostats, as well as other related types of equipment; basic use and operation of computerized energy management systems. Assist in the maintenance of all buildings’ HVAC, refrigeration systems, auxiliary equipment and components such as cooling towers and pumps, as well as other related types of equipment.
