In this role, you'll: Process and assess permits, notices and enquires for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles in line with legislative and policy requirements to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable network operations – and ensure that applicants are processed in a consistent, fair, and transparent manner and comply with relevant policies and legislation. Deliver specialist advice to operations management, industry stakeholders, police, third parties, and the public regarding mass and dimension limits and road access requirements. Use technical expertise and sound judgment to deliver timely and consistent access decisions that support freight productivity while protecting public safety and road infrastructure, while also contributing to process improvements and digital tools such as the Automated Access Assessment Program (AAAP).
