The Opportunity RS&H is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Job Summary: This position performs all conventional aspects of engineering design and development, including the planning and conducting of work requiring more advanced techniques. This role independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of engineering designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. This position requires independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/ modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria, and must be able to independently solve problems and make decisions, receiving technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans. Essential Functions: - Development of bridge (steel and concrete) and culvert design deliverables such as Structure Plans/Calculations/Specifications. - Completes bridge/structural calculations, special provisions, and plans. - Assist project managers with proposal preparation and cost estimates for bridge related components. - Proficiency in AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design specifications. - Prepares project specifications, compiles, a...
