GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor and Facilities Division Manager to perform a variety of skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and improvement of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support daily operations and long-term sustainability. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Facilities Maintenance Technician I: This position exercises no supervision. Facilities Maintenance Technician II/III/SR: This position may function as lead over lower levels. IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc.). Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing issues, and other building maintenance related issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and special projects. Support emergency response efforts, including snow removal, storm cleanup, and urgent repairs. Operate a personal or city vehicle. OTHER JOB RELATED DUTIES...
