GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to perform work associated with construction and maintaining of roads, bridges and other facilities that are the responsibility of Oconee County. Duties includes operation and maintenance of light trucks and equipment, semi-skilled work and manual labor, while working in various environments and climates. This position is responsible for cutting and trimming trees, operating a bucket truck, and running a chainsaw. This role includes assisting asphalt and pipe crews with their daily duties and performing tasks related to road and tree maintenance. The operator handles heavy lifting, uses hand tools, and ensures roads are maintained and repaired efficiently and safely. This position will report to their respective assigned crew leader.
