Senior Research Associate

Job description

Department Overview The senior research associate is a member of the Xiao-Li Lab and conducts research at the interface of chemistry and biology, working collaboratively to develop chemical tools and inhibitors for cancer and other related diseases. The candidate must be passionate about research, self-sufficient, and goal oriented. The candidate must be able to lead an independent research project, serving as the manager for that project’s research plans, experiments, and data analysis. The candidate will be expected to mentor and train other members of the lab. Function/Duties of Position: - Lead project management in key areas of research. Independently design experiments, perform experiments, and analyze data within the goals of the principal investigator. - Data analysis, preparation of written monthly reports, and publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals, group meeting presentations and lab management. - Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - PhD in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR - Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience; OR - Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of relevant experience.
