The Pre-Clinical Intern will assist staff by performing a variety of task, including medical scribing, triaging patients, working in-baskets, maintaining medical logs, and assisting the front desk. Relies on established guidelines to accomplish tasks. Works under close supervision of the physician or clinic manager. - Responsibilities and Duties - Adheres to clinical practice guidelines and scope of practice with supervising physician. - Rooms patients and coordinates patient flow to ensure physician efficiency includes managing the patient schedule and wait times. - Works in-baskets and maintains medical logs (including sample closets) - Ability to carry out multiple tasks throughout the day. - Assist front desk as needed. - Medical Scribing. Ensuring the accuracy of chart notes and verbatim transcription of encounters. Physician documentation is completed consistent with policy including transcription of patient information and patient orders as dictated by the physician.
