Job description

Operates conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines: lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses, and assembly stations to fabricate or assemble metallic and nonmetallic materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Standard Duties: - Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions. - Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. - Loading and unloading of CNC machinery or assembly stations. - Packing out finished material into dunnage. - Loading and unloading CMM/Measurement systems. - Cleaning and organizing of work areas (5S standards). - Move materials around as needed using pallet jacks, carts, etc. - Read and understand job aids/work instructions/standard work procedures and policies. - Perform required standard work steps within established cycle time. - Visually inspect and assemble small components to qua...
