Controls Engineer

Job description

Overview The Controls Engineer applies engineering knowledge to designs and assists with the development of major engineering projects. This position requires a moderate degree of supervision from the Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager. Any design or technical change decisions require management approval in advance. Modifying controls, developing new or creating custom-built products requires collaboration and good communication with MPI’s internal team. Individual is to manage his or her time, working efficiently, to meet the job schedule and requirements. Qualifications: - Sound understanding of electrical design, schematics, and electrical codes regarding machine tool design. - Sound computer skills, MS Office, Cad for Schematic creation. - Experience with machine tool equipment, electrical design. - Experienced PLC programmer. Omron, AB, and Siemens are desirable. - Experienced HMI programmer. Indusoft is desirable. - Experienced Robotic’s programmer.
