Scheduled Weekly Hours: 42 Work Shift: All Work Shifts (United States of America) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position: Ground Paramedic provides direct patient care and transportation when responding to both emergent and non-emergent calls for service. Ground Paramedic operates within all federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization and applicable Emergency Medical Services (EMS) protocols. Essential Job Functions: ​ Responds to calls, performs ALS patient assessment and triage Performs indicated Advanced Life Support procedures as per the appropriate EMS Protocols under the direction of the Medical Control Physician, through standing orders or radio/phone communications. Ensures that vehicles and equipment are ready for use at the beginning and end of shift. Operates all vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Provides high level of customer service to all patients, patient’s families, community providers, visitors, and employees.
