Qualified Medication Aide - Insulin Certified StoryPoint of Granger: Position Summary: As a Medication Aide you will assist residents in administering their daily medication. Required Experience for Medication Aide: - High School Diploma or GED required. - Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics, Caregiving, or experience working with the elderly population preferred. - Ability to adjust to many types of personalities and situations. - Must have aptitude for dementia-related situations. - Realization that incompetence and errors may have serious consequences for residents. - Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as be willing to assist residents based on what cognitive level they are experiencing. - Must be at least 18 years of age. - Must have current CPR and First Aid certification. - Must have CMA certification. - Must have a TB clearance.
