Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for the position of Nurse Manager within University Health Services (UHS), part of the Community Health and Well-Being Unit in the Division of Student Affairs. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position. The Nurse Manager serves as a key clinical and administrative leader within a multidisciplinary college health setting, supporting a diverse student population. This role is responsible for the supervision and development of a large nursing and medical assistant team of approximately 12 staff, oversight of clinical operations, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care. The Nurse Manager collaborates closely with the Medical Director, Executive Director, and other health services leaders and participates in divisional leadership initiatives. UHS operates within a nurse-led triage model in which nursing staff serve as the initial point of clinical contact for all patients, performing assessment, triage, and management of common medical concerns, and determining the appropriate level of care.
