Job Summary: Represents Prisma Health and its workers with work related injury and illness by triaging and managing the injured employee’s care. Provides clinical support in the care of work-related injury and illness and assists as needed in other occupational health nursing functions in the clinic. Triages injured and ill workers. Assists in the care of injured and ill workers. Facilitates referrals and related authorizations for testing, specialists and related treatment for injured employees. Works closely with adjuster to bring claims to closure timely and cost-effectively. Promptly notifies supervisor of suspected WC fraud or abuse. Maintains OSHA log and annual summary. Acts as a liaison to Prisma Health leaders, carrier, injured workers and other interested parties, as appropriate, on medical issues.
