City/State Woodbridge, VA Work Shift: Rotating Overview: Sentara is hiring a Full-time Pharmacy Technician for our brand new Outpatient Pharmacy at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA. Location: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center - Woodbridge, VA Status: Full-time (40 hours per week) Mon-Fri Shift/Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-7pm, 8 hour shifts, Rotating $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates! The Pharmacy Technician performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately: In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
