Position Title: Athletic Trainer Department/School: Athletics Salary/Pay Rate: $64,476.39 Job Summary: The Athletics Department at Marist University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as an Athletic Trainer. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Health and Performance. Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who work under the direction of a physician as prescribed by state licensure statutes to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. This position covers the following teams: Women’s Basketball and Softball. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 3-5 years of relevant work experience - BOC certification and eligible for NY state license - Valid driver's license with no serious convictions Essential Functions: Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation - Assess student-athletes to screen for potential injuries or risk factors that would increase the risk of injury. - Design and implement rehabilitation treatment plans after carefully assessing a student-athlete’s injury. -...
