Department: 10022 Carolinas Medical Center - Dental Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.25 Major Responsibilities: Responsible for providing dental hygiene services to patients in Community Dentistry and the Private Timeshare dental group 1)Provides and records in the patient’s dental file, the following therapeutic and preventative procedures: supra and subgingival calculus and stain removal, polishing of teeth and restorations and application of chemical compounds that have the approval of the American Dental Association as desensitizing agents or as effective agents in the prevention of dental caries. 2)Educates patients in proper nutrition in the prevention of dental caries 3)Recommends and provides instruction in appropriate oral hygiene items in the prevention of dental disease. 4)Exposes and processes xrays of the teeth for diagnostic purposes. 5)Sharpens and maintains all hygiene instruments, as needed. 1)Maintains and coordinates a recall system for all hygiene patients. 2)Follows-up and contacts overdue hygiene patients in keeping the schedule as...
