Graduate Research Associate - Zoo

Job description

The Graduate Research Associate is enrolled in, or is a recent graduate of a graduate research program at a local university. The Graduate Research Associate conducts research and/or evaluations coordinated by the Conservation Education or Conservation and Science Departments, performs data entry, analysis, scientific literature searches, and prepares reports and presentations. - Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. - Conducts applied or basic research in areas of interest to the Zoo's Conservation & Science or Conservation Education program. - Reviews scientific literature and compiles information to topics of interest. - Data entry and summary; keeps accurate and organized research database. - Serves as research assistant to supervisor(s) as assigned. - Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns. - Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public.
