Job description

The Lead Maintenance Technician will s et up, adjust, operate and maintain various automated production equipment in a modern and complex food production facility. Coordinates, schedules, and executes the planned and day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department to ensure the plant meets department and overall plant goals of safety, quality and productivity. Oversees and when necessary, trains maintenance technicians. All work is to be performed in a manner that complies with all federal, state, local, BRC, and company rules and regulations and with optimum regard for Plant Safety. Principal Job Duties: - Schedule and prioritize planned work orders with the day-to-day maintenance issues. - Record and report on day's activities to maintenance supervisor as well at shift handoff meeting. - Provide direction and when necessary, training to maintenance technicians. - Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment. - Troubleshoot, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed - Troubleshoot, repair or replace roaster components such as burners, valves, bearings, scrapers,...
