Job Description​ Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to join our Team! Performs medical laboratory testing in a CLIA-certified laboratory. This position is responsible for the accuracy, timely reporting and integrity of laboratory results. Qualified to assess competency of MLS and MLT personnel after one year of experience. New Grad must pass ASCP registry within 9 months of hire. Medical Laboratory Scientist certification can be through ASCP or AMT. Main duties: - Culture Plate Reading - Kit and PCR Testing - Setups of Micro Cultures - Gram stain reading - QC and QA - Maintenance The Opportunity: Full-time evenings, 4 days/week, 10 hours/day, with every third weekend and overtime as needed Has working knowledge of and performs testing in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Successful performance in laboratory's external proficiency program. Organizes and performs multiple technical tasks with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
