The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is a public benefit corporation and the nation’s largest municipal Housing Finance Agency. HDC’s programs support the construction and preservation of multi-family affordable housing in New York City. Area of Talent: Finance & Accounting Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt Office Location: NYC/Financial District Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually Position Summary The Chief Accountant works closely with the Controller and Director of Accounting in the everyday management of the accounting department, its staff and its interaction with all departments throughout the Corporation. The Chief Accountant needs to demonstrate the ability to think logically and proactively and requires a strong aptitude for quickly grasping complex accounting topics and financial analysis, as well as the ability to quickly understand financial systems, reporting processes, and reconciliation procedures.
