Overview ABOUT THE POSITION: VHB’s Watertown, Massachusetts office is seeking a Geomatics Equipment Operator to join our team. Check out VHB’s Geomatics service page to learn more about this team and our capabilities! Please note this role is primarily field-based and involves regular onsite work at project locations. Responsibilities: - Perform various land surveying tasks under the direction of more senior Land Surveyors including; Operation, transport and setup of Total Stations (Manual and Robotic), Data Collectors, GPS, and other Land Surveying equipment. - Reconnaissance and recovery of Land Surveying markers through use of hand tools, brush cutting, and digging. - Ability to transport Land Surveying Equipment, navigate and traverse through difficult terrain, environments and wooded areas. - Performs construction stakeout of proposed improvements, including the installation of stakes through use of sledgehammers and hand tools. - Maintains proper care of all survey equipment. - Requires valid Driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles, including large cargo vans. - Some overnight travel may be required from time to time due to workshare opportunities with other...
