APM Terminals Purpose: Under direct supervision, the Intern will support the Interface and Integration Department. This internship offers hands-on experience with system integration, automation design concepts, and exposure to real world engineering and operational challenges in a global port environment. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to help test, document, and improve automated terminal systems. Job Responsibilities: Under supervision, the intern may perform the following: Technical Support - Assist in testing and validation of automated terminal systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and related equipment), including supporting analysis of system performance and issues - Help gather and document technical interface specifications for equipment, software, and infrastructure. - Support the configuration and updating of systems under the supervision of senior engineers. Project & Vendor Collaboration: - Contribute to vendor coordination activities during design reviews, testing, installation, and commissioning. - Assist in tracking changes, documenting progress, and preparing materials for project meetings.
