Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient Care - Under the delegation of the Medical Director of Dialysis and direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Dialysis Technician performs and monitors dialysis procedures. Environment - Set up, dismantle, and monitor dialysis machines and systems. Monitor dialysis machines and RO water system for correct functioning, respond to visual and audible alarms and make appropriate adjustments before, during, and after the dialysis treatment. Dismantle, clean, and disinfect dialysis machines and equipment according to CCHMC policies and procedures. Ensures that within the division, all areas are organized and present a safe, accessible, effective and efficient environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees. Adhere to safety procedures appropriate to children's ages and development levels.
