Job description

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Driver will be required to transport elderly clients on regularly scheduled routes to various destinations. Escort and assist the elderly and infirm clients from their homes to the vehicle and back. RESPONSIBILITIES: QUALIFICATIONS: - Transport elderly clients on regularly scheduled routes from their homes to destinations such as senior centers, supermarkets, shopping malls, medical appointments as determined by the Director or other assigned staff. - Escort and assist the elderly and infirm clients from their homes to the vehicle and back, if necessary. - Ensure the safety of the passengers through the use of seat belts, wheelchair brackets and other safety devices. - Keep daily gasoline and mileage records. - Pick up and return vehicle to parking place daily. - Maintain program reports including the completion of daily route sheets - Operate and maintain a 2-way radio in the agency vehicle. - Collect and record participant’s contributions. - Keep the inside of the Agency vehicle clean. - Oversee the maintenance, repair and external cleaning of the vehicles (gas, oil, changing tires, car wash, etc.). - Inspect vehicle daily and re...
