Restaurant Expeditor

Job description

The Expeditor will be responsible for maintaining the flow of orders from servers to kitchen, inspecting dishes for visual appeal, ensuring food is properly prepared and served and in a timely fashion. Assists with the finishing touches on dishes, and conducts quality control on each dish. What you have: - High school diploma or equivalent or higher - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in restaurant and/or hotel - Previous culinary kitchen experience preferred - Excellent customer service skills - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is highly desirable. What you’ll do: - Maintains verbal communication with Chefs, checks on status of dishes and calls for staff when food is ready to serve. - Keeps staff well informed of out of stock items, relays special food requests from serving staff to the kitchen. - Monitors portion and quality control of food portions and finished dishes, ensuring they adhere to Oxbow standards. - Monitors presentation standards, responsible to inspect ev...
