Assistant Professor Clinical Practice, Cardiovascular Medicine - ( 2601459 ) Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Clinical Care Participate in outreach activities and satellite clinics as assigned to expand access to cardiovascular services across UTMB campuses. - Provide inpatient general cardiology services, including consultation and management of hospitalized patients with cardiovascular conditions. - Interpret and perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiography as credentialed. - Provide outpatient care for a wide range of cardiovascular diseases in faculty clinics, with emphasis on prevention, chronic disease management, and longitudinal follow-up. - Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with timely responsiveness to referring providers. - Collaborate with subspecialists in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, and vascular medicine to ensure comprehensive care. Academic & Teaching Responsibilities: Supervise trainee documentation and ensure compliance with institutional standards. - Teach and mentor cardiovascular medicine fellows, residents, and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings. - Participate...
