Department: Health Information Management: Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: The function of the HIM Technician is to demonstrate competency in both quality and productivity for their assigned base job, demonstrate competency in the electronic record processing (bookmarks, scanning, quality checks). Must demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA guidelines in regard to record release. Performs other duties as assigned.
