FAMILY MINISTRIES DIRECTOR (Part-Time) The Oaks Community Church, Bakersfield, California About The Oaks Community Church: The Oaks Community Church is a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled family of believers, located in a middle-class neighborhood in the southwest area of Bakersfield, California. We are part of the worldwide family of The Christian & Missionary Alliance and a home for the nations. The Oaks is committed to “Growing Spirit-filled Disciples of Jesus.” Founded in 1993, The Oaks has grown into a vibrant, multicultural and multigenerational congregation that reflects God’s heart for all nations and all people, with about 300 people in attendance every Sunday. Our worship service is relaxed, family-friendly, and the music is contemporary and upbeat. We have a strong emphasis on local and world missions, and our worship center displays over fifty national flags celebrating the diversity of our church family.
