The Radiology Assistant plays a central support role within Oakwood Medical’s Ultrasound and DXA services. Working in a scheduled-care environment, the Radiology Assistant coordinates daily clinics, offers chaperone support, ensures safe and efficient patient flow, and supports sonographers and radiographers in delivering high-quality, patient-centred diagnostic services. The role has a strong focus on Infection Prevention & Control (IPC), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), governance, and data protection compliance. The Radiology Assistant ensures clinics operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and organisational standards. Services include general medical ultrasound, expanding early pregnancy and obstetrics services, and DXA scanning. This job description is neither exclusive nor exhaustive.
