Heavy Equipment Mechanic At Kentucky Cooperage, the Mechanic position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts, semi-trucks, trailers, and other automotive and mobile equipment that support manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring equipment uptime, safety, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced industrial environment. Schedule: Mon-Fri (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) Compensation: $26–$31 per hour, based on experience and skills Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on: - Forklifts (electric, propane, diesel) - Semi‑trucks, trailers, and yard trucks - Company vehicles and light-duty automotive equipment - Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues - Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and fuel systems - Conduct DOT and OSHA‑related inspections and document repairs - Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records (paper or CMMS) - Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime - Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams on equipment availability - Order parts and maintain inventory of tools and supplies - Follow all safety procedures...
