Must be available on weekends and overnights (6:00pm to 8:00am remotely) Job Description: A chaplain provides non-judgmental spiritual care to BIDMC patients, families, and staff regardless of faith tradition. Chaplains are responsible for: spiritual assessment, timely documentation in the online medical record, communication with other members of the care team, on-call coverage, and occasionally presiding at community events at the medical center. Must have energy for teamwork and outreach. Essential Responsibilities: -Provides chaplaincy services to patients and families that address personal, spiritual, emotional, psychosocial issues that patient or family may wish to discuss. -Visit all patients who request chaplaincy services or are referred by social worker, nurse, patient, physician, family in distress.
