POSITION SUMMARY: Promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. Duties and Responsibilities: - Assesses client health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating and reviewing medical histories - Provide ongoing care to our residential clients as medical needs arise. - Initiates the induction of clients on Suboxone, will monitor the response and adjust the dose accordingly. - Assist in the introduction and orientation of clients to Vivitrol and will monitor medical response to the injections. - Contributes to physician?s effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives. - Review and monitor Suboxone and Methodone orders monthly - Collaborate with clinical to facilitate client referrals. - Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms and laboratory studies, interpreting test results. - Documents patient care services by charting in patient e...
