Overview: BookNook is seeking currently active BookNook tutors to add the reading subject to their tutoring subjects. BookNook Tutors are on the front lines of closing the early-learning gap for K-8 students during a key period of their educational journey. - This posting is for current BookNook tutors only. New applicants should apply to an open new tutor role when available/open. - Currently active BookNook tutor applications welcome; applications submitted at this time will be reviewed over the summer for fall, 2026 tutoring. Position Specifics: - Position Type : 1099-eligible independent contractor - Pay Rate : $20 per hour ($10 per 30-minute session) - Timeline : Programming typically runs during the school year, with the busiest months from September-May - Availability : Especially seeking tutors available to support students between 4:00 - 6:00 PM ET. - Schedule : Up to 30 hours per week based on availability provided and the number of active tutoring programs.
