Overview A Design Engineer I designs battery components and tooling for automotive battery production equipment under the guidance/mentorship of experience design engineers as assigned from the department Manager/Director. A Design Engineer I will perform routine engineering tasks under the direction of the department manager and experienced design engineers while gaining the skills needed to lead and manage projects independently. Responsibilities: - Provide Engineering support to Manufacturing, Quality, H&S, Sales, Costing, and Maintenance on Automotive products, equipment, and tooling. - Prepare and deliver information, technical reports, and presentations to management, customers, vendors, and technical partners. - Contribute to concept generation and ideation processes. - Maintain and protect the confidentiality of proprietary information. - Perform other duties which may become essential to the position. - Participate in regular technical reviews throughout all phases of a project. - Interact with production and engineering at all levels. - Track and record time spent on tasks and projects. - Travel worldwide for the company as required (approximately 5 days per year) - Atten...
