Facilities Technician

Job description

Description The Facilities Technician repairs, replaces or installs items relating to maintenance or improvement of OCR facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs and rounds routinely checking the operation and safety of the mechanical systems. - Completes assigned preventative/corrective work orders in a timely manner. - Inspects, troubleshoots and repairs various system, equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units, electrical, and other mechanical units efficiently. - Keeps record of maintenance up-to-date. This includes work orders, timesheets, preventative maintenance cards, equipment startup and shutdown procedures, corrective maintenance records and other government required records. - Includes the supervision and coordination of system work subcontracted to other businesses. - Attends project meetings, where applicable. - Coordinates facilities projects with internal resources and vendors. - Provides guidance and mentorship to seasonal helpers. - Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. - Completes assigned regulatory documentation. - Other duties as assigned.
