WBAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland, is looking for a well-rounded Digital Content Editor who will create content for our station's website, mobile products and social media platforms. You will be an excellent storyteller and can edit and create content facing intense competition under constant deadline pressure. You will report to the Digital Content Manager. The salary range for this position is $42,000 - $46,000. Responsibilities: - Write/edit and publish breaking news, daily news, sports, weather, and feature stories for the station's website, mobile and social media platforms - Write compelling, SEO-rich headlines - Work with Reporters and Assignment Editors to ensure content is posted quickly and accurately - Work with Producers, Assignment Editors and Managers to ensure cross-promotion of content across all platforms - Manage livestreams of newscasts, breaking news and special events - Contribute ideas to help grow the station's digital platforms - Take part in coverage of special station events (i.e. Preakness, Baltimore Marathon) Requirements: Previous digital editing and writing experience Professional experience with non-linear video-editing software (Adobe...
