Safety Director-Construction

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Director to lead and manage all aspects of our company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, training programs, reporting procedures, and continuous improvement efforts across all operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of driving a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, and other applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities: EHS & Compliance Management: - Maintain full ownership and administration of the company EHS database. - Manage all company certifications, including initial applications, renewals, and compliance tracking. - Oversee OSHA and regulatory reporting procedures, including OSHA 300 Logs, case management, and documentation. - Ensure compliance with FMCSA, Clearinghouse, DOT, and all applicable driver-related regulations and recordkeeping requirements. - Review and evaluate company MOD/EMR performance and implement strategies to continuously reduce incident rates and improve safety performance.
