SUMMARY: As an OR Assistant, your exceptional organization and collaboration abilities assist in the operational success of the unit and patient outcomes. Job Title: OR Assistant: Department: OR Location: Rochester General Hospital Hours Per Week: 0 Schedule: P er diem position has a variety of shifts scheduled, weekend rotation as needed ATTRIBUTES: - One (1) year of patient care and/or operating room experience in an accredited hospital preferred - Basic computer skills - Demonstrated understanding of aseptic technique - Excellent communication skills and attention to detail EDUCATION: - General Maintenance. Obtain supplies required for case carts and sub-sterile areas; responsible for cleanliness and safety of environment for all those within it; transport specimens, cultures and medications within the hospital - Collaboration. Work with team to provide smooth workflow in peri-operative setting; work as a team to accomplish room turnover - Patient Care.
