JOB SUMMARY: The Safety Specialist is responsible for driving safety execution, compliance, and risk reduction across assigned Distribution Centers. This role serves as a visible, floor-based safety partner, influencing leaders and team members through real-time coaching, proactive risk identification, and consistent application of safety standards. This position requires independent judgment, strong ownership, and 60%+ on-floor presence to ensure safety is integrated into daily operations while maintaining high standards of documentation, communication, and accountability. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Safety (with a dotted line to the DC General Manager). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Safety Execution & Culture: Maintain 60%+ presence on the floor, engaging team members and leaders across shifts Reinforce safe behaviors through real-time coaching, not after-the-fact correction Support shift start meetings, speak-ups, and operational discussions to embed safety into execution Identify risks proactively and act with urgency to protect team members Risk Reduction & Compliance: Execute daily Behavior Observations (BOS) and partner with leaders to calibrate quality and consistency Participa...
