Description Job Summary: You will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for mechanical components and systems in construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical trades and construction processes, along with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties: - Review and evaluate requests for estimates and project quotations, as needed. - Prepare the weekly bid calendar and ensure estimates are completed on time. - Prepare and review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy. - Create job folders. - Perform takeoffs from construction documents. - Review construction documents to understand the scope of work for bidding. - Obtain material pricing and subcontractor bids. - Develop estimates when predetermined standards are not available. - Notify the immediate supervisor of any inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or the estimating database. - Develop and maintain cost data. - Maintain estimating procedures and guidelines. - Develop and maintain resource information for products, vendor...
