Labor & Delivery Unit (Full-time, Night Shift) *May be eligible for $9,000 sign-on bonus Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse B-Labor and Delivery(L&D) demonstrates competency in all phases of perinatal nursing in accordance with orientation schedule and experience, e.g., antepartum, labor and delivery, post-partum, new born nursery, operating room, recovery. Provides, coordinates, and documents direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment to perform obstetrical medical screening exams in accordance with established standardized procedure and provides detailed report to the physician. Keeps physician informed of change in patient status and seeks assistance from physician as needed. Serves in each area of perinatal services as assigned based on business needs. Performs the nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) in accordance with LLUMC-Murrieta's established Professional Practice Model (Duffy's Quality Caring Theory).
