Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: This position is for our cardiac tele and ortho units. The Clinical Nurse Leader works in tandem with the Nurse Manager to achieve and maintain the quality initiatives of the nursing unit. The CNL is a clinical resource and models the use of best practice in the care setting. This role includes the onboarding of new colleagues as well as initial and annual competencies based on the needs of the unit, participation in a variety of multidisciplinary patient focused care committees, serves as a mentor and advocate for the professional development of nurses and is an active member in our shared governance. Position responsibilities: The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is an expert nurse and role model who facilitates expected outcomes, demonstrates leadership and serves as a resource in the management of clinical nursing care to improve patient outcomes within the defined clinical area of practice and functions to provide holistic, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
